Not everyone has pets but for a select few you should be excited because you can name your pets this weekend!

"More importantly, there should be no more confusion about which of the pets in the party menu belongs to you. Now, each pet can be given a name, with a simple command that look like this: /namepet. If I see you this weekend, you can meet George XVI for yourself."

So what are you going to name your pets?

I'm going to name my pet "Badru`l-Badur", or "Meia" if that isn't allowed. My char(Ra/En) will be named "Doniazade". I haven't decided on a surname yet.

Ps: I'm glad I squeezed 2 levels of Beastmastery into my build

I'm not sure about that, but it isn't hard to let your old pet go and capture a new one, anyway.

You need to be either a Ranger primary or Ranger secondary, and have the spell Charm Animal equipped. There's a quest in the starter area that will give you the spell (unless they change it). You might also want to equip a spell or two to heal and/or resurrect said pet.

Pets can include a panther (starter area), a Moa Bird (ostrich-like; early Ascalon area after you do the academy), a snow wolf (Shiverpeaks region) and I think a couple of others. No one's ever been able to charm a bear that we know of.

I know you can get a "Playful Lynx" in Kryta too... I sure hope the smarter animals change means he wont be as "playful" with every random animal he passes...

Hmmm... I've been thinking about this... I want a name that will strike fear into the hearts of my enemies, but at the same time be a decent name.

I think I'll name my pet "Pumkin" or "Panda".
